A Secret History of Witches
by Louisa Morgan
Fine but missing something
This is a spanning historical fiction centered on the powerful relationship between a mother and a daughter, through the filter of shared tradition and power dynamics - and to that end I enjoyed this. However I am not sure what the main thrust of the novel was, as the plot meandered around. I can't also help but wonder what the meaning of the final story, concluding in WWII was meant to imply. Overall a fine read, but it lacked a real arc.
