If it weren't for the fact that I was reading this on an airplane and therefor a captive audience, I wouldn't have finished it.  The first book was quite a thriller with ups and downs, but the sequel just iterated all of the bad traits of the already-horrible characters.  And the writing was poor.  For instance, the author always had to call out Amber's "toned" and "slender" body.  If you liked the first book, leave it at that and don't read this
