Paradox

I didn't realise that this was part of a story when I requested it, and that it was book 22 in a series. This, however, did not really affect my reading of Paradox.
I love a murder mystery, a great palette cleanser between all the romance and thrillers I read.
Paradox gives us murder upon murder upon serial killer. The first 5or 6 chapters were a non stop thrill ride as things were set up for the rest of the book, however after that the pacing slowed dramatically, and at times became too slow.
I also like to be kept in the dark about whodunnit, however our person is revealed pretty early in the book, and then the other things that are revealed later in the book I had figured out early too.
At times this book was overly verbose, too descriptive and I was skipping paragraphs. To me this book could have been 50 pages shorter and told just as good a story - but this could just be me.
I did enjoy the book, don't get me wrong, it was probably just a little too light and fluffy for me for a murder book.
I would read more of this author in the future though.
