Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo
1.0

I’m not normally one to write reviews on goodreads but this is what’s made me start.
Grishaverse peaked at Six of Crows.

Anyways Hanne, an indigenous transmasculine character, deserved better than being forced to wear the face of a white guy who tried to assault them. (Also how did they tailor both him and themself so quickly?)
Nina, who’s stuck trying to fix a nation that perpetuated the genocide of her people, deserved better.
David, one of the first neurodivergent-coded characters I ever grew to love, deserved better. What was even the point of his death?? Like, plot-wise, I can’t think of a reason. The titanium issue? It said even if he HAD been there, it was a long shot.
And Genya, who also is disabled AND a survivor, deserved better than to lose him.
The Darkling doesn’t deserve a whole plot about a peaceful death. If that’s where the series goes next, count me out.
Also it just got long and rambling and messy after a point.
Nice seeing the Crows, though. At least they’re doing well.
