The Boyfriend Whisperer 2.0
by Linda Budzinski
The story started out pretty much how you'd expect a story like this to go, and continued that way for quite a while. But not in a bad way, in a familiar enjoy this kind of story way. As much of a bad boy as Darius was supposed to be, there were some really cute things that he did in his wooing of Alicea. When it came to her ex, Ty, there was a moment or two when I was afraid he was going to go back and try to get her by saying they'd been on a break. And with the way she kept going on and on about how he was really the perfect guy for her, I was so afraid she'd go right back to him. And she did make some questionable decisions about how she handled it. But I liked seeing that it was realistic, that she actually realized how she felt with him, and how she'd come to start feeling about Darius when Ty started trying to get her back. Towards the end, I thought we were going to have a long time left for our couple to just keep going happily, and I was right. The author threw in one more obstacle in the way. And it made me sad! But it also made me very happy when we still got our happily ever after for our two characters. I want to go back and read the first book, and I'd love to see another in this series as well!
Maybe 4.5 instead of just a 4 star rating, but Goodreads won't let me do half stars.
