Ok friends, this was the reverse harem ridiculous vampire smut of my dreams. I already knew I was into Robert's writing - her Dark Olympus series is *chef's kiss* - and while I get that there is a range of "what works" for different readers, her over-the-top smut style works just right for me. And we jump right into it, from like the very first scene here. PHEW. I’m glad these were all together - I would not have liked waiting between books for reads that were this fast (like, I blew through this in approximately two sittings). Related, the smut was definitely unevenly woven with the plot throughout the three. The first two were more smut than anything else (the first one was basically only smut), while the last one had lots of action and pulled everything together plot-wise and (low key) emotionally/relationally, but was wayyyy lower on smut. All that to say, I'd have probably been frustrated with that finale, if it hadn't all been presented together. Overall: 5-spice rating and I was sat for it; blasting through the whole series in one go was perfect. This delivered on exactly what I was in it for and I couldn't have appreciated that more.
