mj_reads 's review for:
Saga, Vol. 5
by Brian K. Vaughan
I keep finding something new to love about this series with every new volume.
Volume 5 continues to be creative, intriguing, and powerful. I loved the art work as much as I did in the previous volumes, and I loved the overall message of the story as much as I did in its prequels. I'd be willing to say that this volume takes everything a step further in showing readers how much war impacts not only individuals but also families. Since starting the series readers are constantly exposed to how war effects people, but something about this volume took it all a step farther IMO.
Other than that it was interesting to see characters get pushed and see how they handled themselves when (in some cases) were pushed too far. I'm curious to see what will happen next because there were a lot of big things in this one that left me with a lot of questions!! Onto the next one!
