I LOVED this book! It’s a different type of mafia book, softer, if that makes sense.
Usually I find mafia books abrupt, harsh, but this wasn’t. I was expecting it to be a bit dark, as I feel Tijan’s books can be sometime, but I’m SO happy this wasn’t.
Kai is a beautiful character. He wants so much more than what he is and his love for his family is incredible.
Riley is awesome. She’s strong and doesn’t have the usual hauntedness Tijan’s female characters have.
The story flowed beautifully and I loved how the characters developed.
Again, this was a great book, give it a go!
