I thought this was going to be a 5 star read because it started off so strong and gripping. The setting, the characters, the storyline all grabbed me right away. I was highlighting like crazy because I love S. A.’s writing style. However, it started doing too much and expecting less of me as a reader about halfway through and the last quarter kind of drag. That said, I still consider it a must read. It was deep and poignant and gives you much to consider about humanity. I’d have a light read on deck to follow up though!
