I really enjoyed this. The couple had great chemistry. They were cute together. The sex scenes were good. I really enjoyed the small town, small business and gullah aspects of the story. I wouldn't call this pagan or witchcraft representation but some would and I get why. But this is how you do a black, non-monotheistic spiritual practice well. It's not a costume. The main character is living in this life and it's not just tokenism, which I greatly appreciate. The biggest drawback for me was how much this woman kept harping on age. It got real annoying, real quick. I get it but also y'all are both adults well over the age of consent. And more importantly in this case mostly are of the same maturity level. I don't think she ever realized her ex was in her head whe  she pushed this guy away because of age. But overall it was cute. Wish we saw more over time. Book was too short.
