This book wrecked me.
Adena - She's not the loudest voice in the room, but her heart speaks volumes - and her connection with Mak? do It's soft and careful and so real, the kind of bond that builds slowly but hits all at once. I adored how their relationship unfolded with tenderness and trust.
Adena has such a sweet soul, and it came through every single page. Even though I knew what was going to happen... I wasn't ready.
What I really appreciated was how this book answered so many of the subtle questions from Powerless - it explained Adena's absence, the weight she was carrying, and the path that led her to who she became. Everything just clicked.
If you're looking for a book that will softly destroy you, and leave you emotional over the quietest characters — Powerful is for you. L
