i fear we have a case of middle book syndrome.

it was a fast read, and the narration of the audiobook was great, but the plot was an absolutely snooze fest. i’ve literally just finished reading and already can’t remember anything that happened before the final battle. 

also, it’s becoming quite clear that the author takes a lot of inspiration from sarah j. maas and, as i dislike SJM’s books, we might have a problem.
