» PLOT «
Following the events of the show, Avatar Aang and the rest of the gang work to dissolve the Fire Nation's control over regions. But as obstacles arise, Aang is forced to make tough decisions.

» READABILITY «
This was quite an easy read. This is only part 1, so it was pretty fast paced and doesn't have much substance.

» CHARACTERS «
The characters are by far the best part of the original show, but this book does little since they've already been developed, and the fact that this was so short.

» WRITING «
The writing isn't bad. I can't really tell if the show and the book are completely consistent, but at least it isn't really inconsistent.

» OVERALL «
I'm not sure if I'll continue to read this series. I enjoyed ATLA, especially the characters, but I'm honestly done with the series/universe.
