This World Is Not Yours by Kemi Ashing-Giwa

Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

There is nothing I despite more than the overuse of the theme of "lack of communication".
Half of this book is two people in agony because they both simply don't share simple truths with the other.

At first, it's small stuff that the other overreacts on. Okay, sure, believable. But then the MARRIED COUPLE
is forced to break up and told by the powers-that-be that they gotta make babies with someone else
. And as outrageous of an decision as that is, why didn't the one married person tell the love of her life that "
Obviously I won't sleep with him
"

Completely unnecessarily.

Jesse however, was very interesting. From the first moment he walked onto the scene and proclaimed "I wish I could put her entire head in my mouth" like he's some kind of skinwalker demon hiding as a human I wanted to see more of him. I'd have dropped this book if not for him.
