the writing style and plot was so easy to fall into and i could really relate to the main character's body & anxiety issues (which were handled very well, in my opinion). i thought the plot/sequence of events was a little all over the place and unrealistic but it didn't detract too much from the overall experience. i was the most struck by the mc's past sexual assault story from middle school and my experiences are similar in that i didn't think about how wrong and serious it was at the time and that "boys were just being boys." it has taken me a long time to accept how effected i was by what happened to me and i still feel like i'm overreacting sometimes, but this story made me feel like i'm not overreacting and my emotions then and now are valid.
