panderkins 's review for:
Caledonian Road
by Andrew O'Hagan
It was unputdownable for me, despite the fact "my politics" line up with Roger Scruton and Douglas Murray. Extremely enjoyable portrayal of a variety of interesting realms -- academics, a hacker, idealists, rappers, gangsters, artists, fashionistas, journalists, politicians, migrants, the aristocracy...all the kinds of things I like in a novel. I don't care if most of the characters are "unlikable," I just like a good story, especially one about the UK.
