I'm really loving this series. This is a single mom, small town, brother's best friend romance. This was a beautiful and angsty friends to lovers. It had me swooning, sitting on the edge of my seat in suspense and falling in love from the very beginning. The author has such a magical way of writing that I have really come to love and it makes me want to read more and more. Dakota is a strong single mom with a little boy who is running her own business. She is such a lovely person and while it can be tough to see a heroine like her carrying a torch and pining for someone... it worked for me here because this is a mutual pining situation. Ryder does want her more than anything, but he has a bad boy past that he has to come to terms with in order to be what she and her child deserves. He is so protective over her and her little boy and it will make your heart melt. I love kids and their single parents in romance and this was really good. I lpved the plot twists and mystery, and I also really loved the smut. All of it was just so good. I can't wait to see what happens next in Time River!
