Aaaahhhhh this book kind of reminds me, in reading experience alone, of midnight library. It was a 5 until the very end, I kept seeing how little was left and being like "ok how are they going to possibly wrap this up" and... They just didn't. It was a great idea and I'm actually a big fan of his writing style and other books, that ending just annoyed me. It seemed to me he was going for a commentary on privlege, and how people who live a privileged life often feel upset when faced with the fact that they had advantages over others, regardless of whether they took advantage of them or not, and get defensive trying to find any way to be the victim. But this character seemed to have learned nothing. Ugh.
