I have to say Kyra surprised me with the twists and turns in this installment of the series. I was blind-sided by the introduction of a new character and his connection to everything but I also enjoyed getting to know more of the girl Bell was when she was younger as well as the unfolding of the mystery as the story further developed. I also enjoyed the glimpses into the vulnerabilities of the "villains" of the story. You still hate them but adding that type of dimension is interesting because it gives life to the the whole idea of there always being two sides to every story. I cannot wait to finish the next one and prepare for what lies in store for Lander and Bell!
