this is a story told in two timelines, one in the early 2000s and one in 2017 about a high school girl who gets into a relationship with her english teacher. this is a really upsetting but multifaceted look at child sexual abuse and it's affects :(( I don't really think I have anything to say anything new about this book, it's just really good! I was a bit sceptical going into this book because types these relationships tend to get glorified in stories but I think this was a very deep and respectful take on this issue. highly recommend! 4.5 stars
