The Notebook
by Nicholas Sparks
I got more than halfway and realized that I just can't justify finishing this book.
I don't like either of the main the characters at all. They both give me a wicked sleeze-ball vibe. One is engaged, but probably shouldn't be. The other knows she's engaged but doesn't seem to care.
I think the storyline is incredibly boring and SO repetitive. I hate that Allie is engaged and has to continuously remind herself of that fact. All the mentions of Allie noticing Noah's muscles had me rolling my eyes. And I couldn't handle reading another "he/she knew that he/she was thinking about him/her." And the dialogue...not a fan.
Too much.
