This is a weird and amazing book. Even if it's marketed as a fantasy I think this a literary book with fantasy theme.
The style of writing is rich, complex and sometimes even obscure. The characters are multifaceted and interesting. The world building is amazing and complex.
But this is not a fantasy book. It misses the fast pace and the excitement of a fantasy book, it needs to be savored and you have to read it carefully in order to enjoy the style of writing and the complex characters.
It's an amazing book but not a fantasy book.
