Three Dark Crowns
by Kendare Blake
Readability: 4/5
Plot: 5/5
Recommend: Yes
Every generation, a set of triplet queens are born. Unfortunately for two of them, only one can live. After the Beltane Festival, the three sisters will be forced to kill one another, and only one can survive.
This book was going to be three stars at first, but after the plot twist at the very end, I gave it four stars. The plot was unique (to me) and it wasn't hard to get through. I don't love any of the characters, but they are likeable enough for me to want to continue this series and see what's to come.
This was a slow and average start to the series. I'm hoping the next few books in this series will be better.
