Infuriatingly slow at the beginning. Leaves all questions unanswered at the end. I have lots of mixed feelings about this book, but ultimately I liked it and think it was very well written. The magic system is a commentary on capitalism & the competitive nature of the academy keeps things lively.
It was a really fun read after the first 160 pages. Will def be reading the sequel.
