I read this way to fast because it was so beautiful and easy to keep listening to as an audiobook. I 100% did not ingest all I wanted to from this... so I bought it to read physically at some point. It was emotional and beautifully tied to the authors culture and the expectations one might place on an indigenous poet. It defied expectations and addressed them at the same time in a deft and interesting way. I haven't read a poetry book that is a book of one continuing poem... so it was a really different and interesting approach to poetry in that way. I look forward to reading it again and would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.
