I’m biased to care about Aminatou’s and Ann’s friendship as a longtime listener of CYG, and I’m not sure the book would resonate as much without that connection. However, I’m giving it 5 stars (rounded up) because it made me truly emotional about my own “big” friendships and gave me concrete ideas about how to keep those relationships strong in a time of relative isolation. Definitely worth the read.
