The Monstrumologist
by Rick Yancey
Rating: 1.5
I think if I would have picked up this book earlier last year I may have enjoyed it. But I sadly this was not the case now.
I did think the story had potential and it was and interesting idea. The idea that there is people out there that study monsters. That is one aspect that I liked. The thing that threw me off was the characters. The characters didn't feel right. The Monstrumologist felt to be to forceful in trying to be the Sherlock character in the story and failed. While Will being his Watson.
I didn't think it would be realistic that an adult would be that naive to a young child even in that time. I think that is what made me distant to the story.
