General Description: Olivia Monroe moves to LA to create a law firm with her BFF because Olivia is DONE with big law. While living out of a hotel for a bit, she meets a cute guy at the hotel bar, bonding over desserts. That guy turns out to be a Senator. Max can't stop thinking about Olivia since their meeting in the bar. Can they make the distance, politics, and personality differences work, or will they fall apart before they ever go public?

The good:
- Classic Jasmine Guillory love story
- Spicier than usual in a good way!
- Olivia is a likable character to me.
- The side characters are enjoyable and I love how they influence the main characters.
- I have a huge sweet tooth, so I love all the dessert talk :)

The bad
- Honestly, Max seemed kind of dense to me. I feel like he didn't really listen to Olivia until the end of the book on issues that really mattered. He seemed to care more about her food preferences than her life preferences.
- This is the main spoiler: There is a point where Olivia is telling her friend to take accountability for her ideas. Olivia gives Max the idea for townhalls. He takes it without really crediting her?!? I just was confused on how that happened and why that wasn't explored more. I know they weren't public in the beginning but couldn't Max have given Olivia credit later on? Even if it wasn't publically, but at least among his staff? It just left a bad taste in my mouth

In short: Max is not my favorite protagonist of Jasmine's, but I would still recommend this to support Jasmien and because i do love Olivia as a main character, and of course, the love story is adorable :)
