Worth the Hurt by Ashley Dranguet

this was such an emotional friends to lover's romance and it was so good! This story was so relatable, and I went through all the emotions throughout this one. The writing was fantastic and this was an amazing debut novel!

God, I felt for Macy from start to finish. Her sass was just perfection and I related to her so much. Her POV throughout this book was breaking my heart, she has been through so much and felt so much pressure in every part of her life. I loved her character development and seeing her grow and try to push forward through her past. Seeing her let down her falls and letting Paxton in was just beautiful.

Paxton is the sweetest man and has so much patience while she is trying to keep her walls up. He never let her push him away and kept fighting for her. This man was so sweet and understanding no matter what she threw at him, he was always going to be there for her. He had also been through so much and seeing these two both heal from their past made my heart so happy.

This book got it perfectly - everyone deserves happiness and love, you don't need to be perfect to receive it. It truly shows that the right people will accept you as you come and that its okay to not be perfect and to have flaws, you will still be accepted and loved.
