This book was just as enjoyable as Riordan's other works. I hope he can keep on writing and expanding this world in which myths come to life for many years.

I'm not sure why the writer felt the need to pull in Annabeth Chase from the Percy Jacksin series, but I'm hoping later books will have that make more sense.

I continue to like the diverse side characters Riordan creates, this time in the form of a deaf alf and an Arabic Valkyrie. I love the way he can write them in such a way the reader knows that they're not your standard westerner, but never make it feel forced or weird that they're there. If only society could act like that...

What I didn't like about this book was how similar Magnus read to Percy, so I'm really hoping for him to develop his own personality as the series continues. I got quite fed up with Percy after the many books he's filled now. High time for a new face.

What I did like, however, waa the choice of making him start out as a homeless kid living on the streets. Makes for quite the different background than the one's these kinds of books usually go for.

At 22, I might be getting to old for these kinds of books, but as long as they continue to entertain me, I don't really care.
