Hide

Rating: 3.5 stars
Hide by Kiersten White is a rollercoaster of a book, full of suspense and spooks.
Fourteen people accept the challenge of hiding in an abandoned amusement park for a prize of 50,000 dollars. Sounds easy enough right? But when contestants start to disappear, they quickly find out not all is as it seems.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful and kept me guessing for the first half. It's a quick read, one that I finished in less than 24 hours. I was brought back to my early childhood days of Goosebumps and the HorrorLand book. The setting was definitely creepy.
I do feel like the characters lacked a bit of depth. Especially the ones who were "disqualified" rather early on in the book. Even though we caught glimpses inside their heads, their motivations fell a bit flat for me.
Overall, a quick and addictive read perfect for fans of Supernatural and Goosebumps.
