I rarely give a book five stars, but I can’t remember the last time I was so engulfed in a book and so invested I couldn’t put it down for two days straight until I read every last sentence. I was terrified to read this because of all the hype, but holy shit does this bypass all the hype it was given. To me personally, this is the best introduction to a fantasy series I have ever read (yes including all the SJM books).

No spoilers, but I must say I’ve felt almost every emotion possible reading this book. I am SO beyond invested. Fingers crossed the other books will be as amazing as the first! If it is, this will easily become the best series I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
