normal people was a book that didn't live up to the hype. I didn't enjoy the plot of the characters. I didn't view it as a will they won't they relationship, but instead as a toxic on and off friends with benefits. most of their problems could be avoided, and those that can't weren't necessarily handled well. this is not reminiscent of everyday life and I felt that it was a pretentious take on life. I also found it quite boring.
