Ok I know I'm doing this backasswards but I ned to start with this quote from the last page of the book because it sums up my feelings about this book as whole perfectly....
"And I never expected that you could have a broken heart and love with it too, so much that it doesn't seem broken at all." Yes! That's it exactly. My heart was broken, for both Tiger Lily and Peter Pan's lives ended up so much differently than what I had wanted for them. But at the same time, it seemed right, and I loved the way things turned out, just in a different kind of way.

I LOVED that this book was told from Tinker Bell's point of view. It made so not only was this a story about a love affair between Tiger Lily and Peter Pan, but also Tink's love affair with the both of them. Tinker Bell was so endearing. Even though she was so in love with Peter, she was able to accept Peter and Tiger a lily being in love with each other. She had once referred to Peter loving Tiger Lily as, "the next best thing", because she too loved Tiger Lily.

This book was definitely no Disney fairytale. It was much darker than that, and I liked it! Loneliness was at the heart of this book, it was basically the main character of this story. It was emanating from every single person in this story, all in different ways and for different reasons. Really the first paragraph of this book told you everything right away....
"Let me tell you something straight off. This is a love story, but not like any you've heard. The boy and the girl are far from innocent. Dear lives are lost. And good doesn't win. In some places, there is something ultimately good about endings. In Neverland, that is not the case." This was so true, and yet the adventure was still a great one. This was beautifully written, and I really enjoyed it. Peter Pan's story is one of my all time favorites, I have always loved the idea of Neverland, this mysterious and magical place where you never have to grow up. While this book showed a much more nefarious side of Neverland, it was really no less magical.
