circus settings aren't hard to mess up, so obviously in all means, this wasn't bad.

however, i was just expecting more?? idk. there were so many times that i just felt bored and the magic element couldn't even save the book

(neither did the romance)

overall, for someone who's read a lot of novels set in a circus, this wasn't special. the only special thing is just it being set at night.
