The Summer of Broken Rules
by K.L. Walther
Great little summer read. I adored the nostalgia I got from this book. A favorite game from my youth ,assassin, being the tying factor between all the characters was so fun. I genuinely wanted to jump into the story and play along with them . There is a summer love story woven into this but it’s not too graphic or intense. The primary focus is the fmc and her family coping with the loss of her sister while trying to celebrate a family wedding , mending friendships and finding a new normalcy .
The story was written well. The imagery of the island is so vivid & real. It’s a story that leaves you smiling .
