This was a super quick book. The writing was really carefully and well done. The story moved very slowly and deliberately, which really helped set up the tone of the book. Sameness sounds terrible dull and I think life would just drag on in a society like this. No super emotions or dramas...and that is really depicted in this book. I loved the scene where Jonas learned words and sensations he never knew existed.

I wish I knew what happened in the end!

Not as fast passed or action packed as other dystopian novels I've read, but this one was the first. I can see aspects of other books that have been influenced by this one.
