« The OASIS lets you be whoever you want to be. That's why everyone is addicted to it. »

That was amazing and fascinating. The way the story was build was unlike anything I've read before. I loved how being in the OASIS was translated in a story-telling. I'm not a gamer, but I found myself really drawn to this world, and ending the book made me want to discover more about it.

What I loved: the world building is amazing ! It is well detailed, and feels really complex, but at the same time really simple to understand and imagined. I also really appreciated all the gunters and was surprised by every little plot-twists. It was a really well-thought story, where every detail has its importance and I enjoyed that. Also, all the references about the 80's pop culture were fantastic ! I loved how everything was included in the story.

What I had trouble with: sometimes, the history of everything and the many descriptions were a little bit tedious for me, but once I found my pace, it got better. And that doesn't mean it wasn't interesting, believe me, it was and I loved discovering everything. It's just that as much as I like having a world taking shape right in front of me, I found world descriptions hard to follow when they are long and heavy detailed, and I thought that here, it was maybe too much at the same time.

Overall, I had a really great time reading this book. The second and last part were my favorites, and I was surprised by a lot of things that happened, especially towards the end.
I really liked it.
