Hall’s latest novel is a success.

Different from her normal genre of dark psychological thriller, this reads more like a “who done it” on par with Gillian Flynn or Karin Slaughter. It follows the life of Charlie Tripp, coming home from the chaos of active duty war to find his mother murdered and his neighborhood a mess.

As unique as it is enthralling, this novel has heart and underlines the importance of family and what it means for blood to be thicker than water. It leaves the reader utterly unable to put the pages down. It is both fast paced and dramatic always keeping you guessing until the very last twist. Check this none out if you enjoy mysteries and thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat.
