I love the Kane & Alton series. If you haven’t read them I highly recommend but as this is a prequel you don’t need to. This is a short read of about 150 pages and I read it in one go as I could not put it down. I was hooked. It explains exactly why Kane is the way he is and why he is so protective of Jenna and his team. It also shows how and why Wolf and Kane became such good friends or practically family. It is probably the most stressful romance novel I have ever read. It has the whole romantic build up just with a lot of guns and murderers hunting them down whilst they try to cross a hostile country with no resources. Y'know the usual aphrodisiac And then obviously if you have read the rest of the Kane & Alton series you know how it ends. Even though I knew what was going to happen I still wasn’t ready. It is definitely a great read though. I really hope we get to see Jenna’s past as well. I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
