I feel like reading this book should have been easy. Not only because it was a short story but also because the storyline had so much potential. I didn’t really like Lauren at all which is surprising because she was supposed to be this independent woman who knows what she wants and wouldn’t settle for less. Instead she came off as a very annoying person who thinks her wealth puts her above the people of her past and the ones currently in her life, and continuously looks down on the people around her.

It also didn’t help that she didn’t have the best opinion of Isaac when he didn’t really do anything to warrant that. I mean she was a bit cruel to him because why would she say this to his face??

"How is it going to work? l'm going to be an Ivy League educated woman and my husband works in a garage? It doesn't make sense!"

There was also the fact that their relationship lacked substance. I wasn’t rooting for them at any point during this books because the whole situation around their breaking up and his will to get back together just didn’t make sense to me. It was really hard for me to get through this book and I definitely would not call them soulmates like they’d both like to believe.
