3.5 Stars. I get the feeling the author was trying to do too much in this novel. It was good. I had fun, but there were so many characters and so many little subplots that didn't really go anywhere (like Maddie) but I think this was her way of tying in characters from the other Others series or giving you a hint on what's going on with other characters in the current timeline? I don't know. I think if she had cut back on her characters and concentrated on developing them the way she usually does I would have enjoyed it more. No matter though, it didn't keep me from looking forward to Crow Bones!
