ros_lanta 's review for:
The Case of the Missing Marquess
by Nancy Springer
I enjoyed this book. It's a short, fun, fast-paced middle grade historical mystery novel with an extremely likeable protagonist.
The book did feel a little bit incomplete. The biggest mystery of the story was not the eponymous missing marquess, but rather the disappearance of Enola's own mother, a case which is clearly going to take several books to investigate. As a consequence the ending feels just a little bit like a cliffhanger, and certainly makes me want to read book 2 soon.

Update: on a reread I increased my reading by half a star, perhaps it's partly because I listened to the audio but I enjoyed the experience even more than the first time.
