The Haunting of La'Quishia Brown was a unique story told from the perspective of a 14 yr old girl. However, I did feel it was told very formal and plain text. While at times it seems it is a child's perspective, others seemed more grown. Premise was unique and fun, which is sad because it is supposedly based on a true story. Lots of sad parts too, but not sure if some are true or in her head (I mean she is a child). Definitely makes your weary of helping people out, even friends. It speaks heavy on religion toward the end, which kind of came out of nowhere. Also there are many life affirming quotes throughout, which made me want to write sticky notes and stick on my mirror. "Don't make permanent decisions, based on temporary problems". I enjoyed the story and was vested in this girl's story. I wish her well.
