When I first started this book, I was worried it was going to be too similar to The Handmaid's Tale. I was delighted to discover that it was different in so many ways. While the premise of women who are able to conceive being prized remains the same, there is a whole twisted aspect of having it be teens who can carry and then the aspect of being paid to do so.

I love when an author takes the time to create a new lingo and slang for their dystopian worlds. I enjoyed the slang, it was amusing and I could easily see teens in this world using this type of language.

I also like the introduction of a twin who has grown up in a completely different scenario with a whole opposite set of beliefs. I'm very interested to see how things go in book two.
