An Eye for an Eye by Carol Wyer
4.0

It has potential but both of the train scenes were mentioned SO MANY TIMES and I feel like they didn't need to get pushed as much. I guessed the first "twist" the second time the character appeared & correctly guessed who done it about half way through.
While DI Young technically solved the crime prevalent in this book it ends abruptly and there is not even a beginning to resolve the bigger issue that arises.
I get you can't do everything in 300 page books, but the fact that it was built up so much and then ended felt like this book was written strictly to be a lead up to book 2.
Overall not bad. All the characters had personalities & I didn't dislike any of them or the way the dialogue was written (which is usually my complaint in books like this)
I'll definitely be interested to see more from this author!
