Sawkill Girls
by Claire Legrand
This book was so atmospheric! From the very beginning I enjoyed this book. This is a multiple POV story about three girls who all end up living in Sawkill. Marion just moved to Sawkill because her father passed and so her mother takes a job as the house keeper to the richest family in Sawkill. Val is the daughter of the family who Marion’s mom works for and who seems to have some secrets. Then there is Zoey the chief of police’s daughter and who moved to Sawkill to be with her dad because her mom was moving. As they get to know one another they will also learn why girls keep going missing and never return.
The pacing of this story was so good until the very end and then it felt rushed. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters at first I felt like Val was going to be a lackluster character for me but I enjoyed her growth throughout the book.
I think this is such a fun book and can see a lot of people liking it. My recommendation is if you are a character driven reader you will love this. If you are a plot driven reader this will keep you entertained. If you are a little of both this is the type of book for you.
