Bury the Lede
by Gabe Dunn
I knew I would like it (because Gaby Dunn) and I read this comic in one sitting. I LOVED the art style, the bisexual representation, and how sociopathic Dahlia was. A lot of books don't make female characters with no remorse and I liked that this story did that. This is more personal, but I liked how it was set in Boston and that you could tell the writer had lived there. It was also really cool how the whole story was based on Gaby's experience. I thought that most of the characters were really well developed. The only thing I didn't like was how the Hispanic characters had Spanish words in every sentence. That's something that bothers me whenever I see it because it's just not realistic. Also, I thought that the way the comic was set up was a little disorienting in some parts, but that might have been on purpose. Overall, I really enjoyed this graphic novel and would totally recommend it. Thanks to Netgalley and Boom Studios for the ARC.
