First of all, if poor writing bothers you, look away now. The perspective changed constantly so I was rarely totally sure as to whose PoV it currently was, and there was definitely a bit of telling, rather than showing. That said, I did definitely enjoy this, and it got me out of a reading slump, so it's not all bad.
I adored Sam, and came around to Declan, although at the start he seemed like a bit of an ass. I felt a bit blindsided by the ending, tbh, but I do think I will eventually read the second one
