Trouble At The Fair In Dairydowns
by J. Bracken-Russell
This was a fun little quick mystery!
Charlie and Emily and their 3 children live in a small village. They have a horrible neighbor who blames the kids for every little mishap that happens to her. She charges over one day to explain that the children have thrown a ball through her greenhouse and must pay to repair it.
Things seem to go a bit downhill from their until Charlie gets a job at a fair that comes to town. But there is trouble brewing there too.
I was able to piece together a little of the mystery of a few people. Mrs. Penderberry is just horrid to this family! I think she got what she deserved in the end! I love that this book shows a family that is there and just supports one another through thick and thin!
